Transforming Healthcare Through Story & Lived Experience
I’m Augustina Ampofo, a storyteller, advocate, and bridge-builder using lived experience to bring care and compassion back to healthcare..

As the founder of Jurnni Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare through storytelling, research, and education, I’m building a movement that brings humanity back to health systems through story, rest, and radical compassion.
My Story and Mission
I didn’t arrive at this work by accident, I lived it. After navigating psychosis, depression, and a complex surgery to remove 11 fibroid tumors, I found myself face-to-face with a system that wasn’t built to hold me. So I stopped waiting for permission and began building what I needed: space for truth, for story, for healing.
That journey became Jurnni — and it became my mission. Today, I help healthcare organizations listen better, include patients from the beginning, and rebuild trust with the communities they serve.
